In-memory NoSQL Cloud Company Shows Momentum Following Beta Launch. Selected by CRN as one of The Coolest Cloud Startups of 2012 (So Far).
Israel, August 8, 2012
Garantia Data today announced two major milestones since launching its fully automated, in-memory NoSQL cloud services at GigaOm’s Structure LaunchPad in June 2012.
The company has concluded its seed funding round, totaling $3M from leading angels, including a group of investors that also seed funded StoreWise (sold to IBM in July 2010), Zohar Gilon (a reputable Israeli investor who invested in over 100 startups globally) and The Time Innovations (a group investing in media startups).
The company was also recently accepted into the prestigious AWS Partner Network (APN) and is among the first AWS Partners ever to gain public designation as a Standard Technology Partner. “Demand for our Redis Cloud and Memcached Cloud has grown since we launched our beta earlier this summer. We will use the funds to help fulfill and fuel this demand as well as expand the breadth of our offering,” said Ofer Bengal, CEO of Garantia Data. “Our new APN Standard Technology Partner status is recognition of the value we provide to AWS Redis and Memcached cloud developers seeking better solutions for these ultra-fast in-memory data stores.” Garantia Data offers developers fully automated cloud services for hosting their Redis and Memcached datasets in a reliable and fail-safe manner. The company’s Redis and Memcached Clouds completely free developers from dealing with nodes, clusters, scaling, data-persistence configuration and failure recovery, while guaranteeing absolutely no data loss.
Garantia Data has been praised by a number of industry analysts, including the 451, Neovise and Ben Kepes. The company was selected by GigaOm to participate in its 2012 Structure LaunchPad competition, and was recently named one of the Coolest Cloud Startups of 2012 (So Far) by CRN. The Garantia Data services are currently being offered free of charge to early adopters during the beta phase.
