Garantia Data Launches Redis and Memcached Plugins for Developers Using New Relic
New plugins help developers easily visualize Redis and Memcached performance, usage and cache metrics directly from New Relic dashboard
SANTA CLARA, Calif., November 14, 2013
Garantia Data, the leader in providing enterprise-class Redis and Memcached for developers, has announced the availability of new Redis Cloud and Memcached Cloud plugins on New Relic’s Plugin Central. These new plugins enable developers who use New Relic to monitor both Redis and Memcached usage and trends that support their application directly from their New Relic dashboard.
Redis Cloud, a service provided by Garantia Data, helps developers to significantly enhance open source Redis operations with infinite seamless scalability, true high availability, stable top performance and zero, ‘hands-off’ management. The service is currently used and trusted by more than 1,000 paying customers.
Monitor Redis and Memcached Performance alongside an Application
Both plugins will enable New Relic users to easily visualize Redis and Memcached metrics and trendsincluding performance, usage and cache metrics. In addition, developers can customize and receive key threshold alerts, including throughput, latency, used memory, memory usage ratios and connection usage ratios. The plugins provide detailed metrics that developers monitor directly from the New Relic dashboard, including: throughput, latency, used memory, total connections, connection usage ratio, memory usage ratio, total keys, total hits, hit ratio, evicted objects, expired objects and misses.
The plugin is immediately available for all current Garantia Data customers. New Relic users that are not yet using Redis Cloud or Memcached Cloud can immediately get started with a free 25 MB Redis or Memcached database. “Redis Cloud has allowed us to quickly scale our application,” said Ryan Huff, CEO and co-founder of Cirruspath. “The Redis Cloud plugin in New Relic makes it easy for us to measure many important Redis trends and performance indicators, including latency, connection ratios, cache performance and many others.”
