Redis Labs Resolves Litigation with Couchbase

Mountain View, January 28, 2020—Redis Labs, the home of Redis and provider of Redis Enterprise, today announced the company has reached a settlement with Couchbase, Inc. in connection with Couchbase’s claim pending in the Superior Court of the State of California (Case No. 1-17-CV-307618).

In March 2017, Couchbase filed a lawsuit alleging that current and former Redis Labs employees, including certain ex-Couchbase employees, misappropriated trade secrets. Redis Labs and the individual defendants denied the allegations. Under the parties’ settlement, Redis Labs has agreed to return any trade secrets or confidential information in its possession. The litigation has been dismissed.

“Integrity and transparency are core values to Redis Labs and we are pleased to resolve this dispute under acceptable terms for both companies,” said Ofer Bengal, co-founder and CEO at Redis Labs. “Our unwavering focus continues to be on delivering transformational outcomes for our customers and empowering our employees to deliver industry-leading products and services.”
