Redis Labs Grows Executive Team, Welcomes New Chief Marketing Officer

The company expands leadership and continues to drive global growth with Manish Gupta as its CMO

Mountain View, March 31, 2016—Redis, the home of Redis, today announced Manish Gupta has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). The addition of Gupta as CMO follows the continued expansion of Redis’ company footprint, including the addition of chief revenue officer (CRO), Jason Forget in 2015. With these executive hires, Redis is poised to build on its incredible enterprise and developer momentum.

As CMO, Gupta brings over 20 years of enterprise tech experience with public and private companies and will drive Redis’ marketing strategy and execution in support of the company’s growth objectives. Before joining Redis, Gupta served as CMO for Liaison Technologies where he was responsible for the global corporate marketing, product management, product marketing, demand generation, marketing communications, and analyst and media relations. Previously, Gupta served as vice president of marketing and business development for Symmetricom where he was part of the management team that secured a 49% premium over public market valuation when it consummated the $300 million dollar acquisition of the company by Mircosemi.

“More and more enterprises are seeing the continued value of NoSQL and are gravitating towards Redis,” said Ofer Bengal, CEO and co-founder, Redis. “Manish brings extraordinary marketing expertise to Redis and we are thrilled to welcome him and Jason to the company’s executive team. Both executives are well-recognized industry leaders and have extensive experience in building value for the enterprise as well as fostering a passionate customer and developer ecosystem.”

Over the past year, Redis has grown its headcount by 100 percent and expects to significantly expand the team across all functions in its headquarters in Mountain View, development center in Tel Aviv as well as in Europe and Asia. With Gupta and Forget added to the Redis’ executive team, the company is poised to become the global NoSQL leader.

“Redis is solving the most complicated data challenges for enterprises with the highest performance of any NoSQL database technology,” said Gupta, CMO, Redis. “I am extremely excited to join Redis, the home of Redis, to further accelerate the growth ramp. The global market opportunity for Redis is massive and the adoption cycle has only just begun.”
