Ringing in the New Year with a New Office in London

On New Year’s Eve, I was lucky enough to ring in 2017 from the top of Tower 42, one of the best spots in London to watch the city’s famed fireworks show. Even more exciting was the fact that, at the end of the traditional midnight countdown, this landmark London skyscraper officially became home to Redis Labs’ newest global office!

The opening of our brand new European headquarters in the heart of London caps off a phenomenal 2016 for Redis Labs, in which we saw significant revenue, headcount, and customer growth. All this was enough to propel us into the position of fastest growing NoSQL provider in the marketplace.

To support this unprecedented growth—and set the stage for an even more successful 2017—Redis Labs found itself with an urgent need to extend its global footprint. London was chosen as the natural new office location not only because it makes an ideal geographic complement to current Redis Labs’ offices, but also because this bustling capital is teeming with opportunity and energy. London is a major business and financial centre, a hub for trans- and intercontinental travel, and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

For all the reasons above, I can’t think of a more strategic (and fun!) location for supporting the rapidly-growing number of enterprise Redis installations we’re deploying across Europe and the entire EMEA region as a whole. And if we manage to attract even more members to what is already one one of the world’s largest open source developer communities, all the better.

As Redis Labs’ vice president of sales for the EMEA region and someone who is beyond excited to be based out of our new European headquarters, I’d like to extend a formal invitation. If you’re passing through London on business—or holiday—and you think your organization’s modern applications can benefit from the world’s most powerful NoSQL database (trust me, they can), look us up!

In the meantime, happy New Year and cheers to 2017!
